Michael Watson MBE our new Vice President

In recognition of his long and dedicated service to the AMIMB, the Executive Committee wanted to honour Michael and invited him to become Vice President of the Association. Mike thanked the meeting and said that he had been pleased to accept this Ambassadorial role but he had been taken completely by surprise.

Lou Lockhart-Mummery chair for the conference "Spotlight on Monitoring"

Lou has been a member of the AMIMB for ages and was Brian Guthrie's predecessor as editor of the Independent Monitor.  She was a member of the BOV at HMP Wormwood Scrubs between 1995 and 2002.  She was a member of the Portland YOI between 2004 and 2007 and has been a member of the IMB at Heathrow since January 2007.

The Heathrow Board was the first IMB appointment to monitor the welfare of immigration detainees at a UK port.
